Unilever required Assistant Manager – Consumer Technical Insights & KBS - Home Care Location: Karachi Head Office with Bachelors in Textile Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Applied Chemistry and having experience of 2 to 3 years in relevant field as described below.

Job Purpose:
- Responsible for competitive benchmarking of home care & hygiene products.
- Closely working with regional / global CTI teams and marketing team for knowledge-based selling (KBS) & product demos development.
- Building technology data bank for Innovations / new product development / sustainability.
- Design consumer, technical, and analytical studies and manage the execution of testing to support product claims.
- Liaise with CMI, R&D & Marketing partners and experts to design, deliver, interpret and communicate on consumer trends required to support the product development process.
- Research, design, and implement product demos to further Knowledge Based Selling.
- Research and analyze consumer trends to bring forward technical trends to help create the yearly R&D agenda and innovations plan.
- Lead product qualification in key product categories to ensure product attributes are validated before project finalization.
- Serve as the functional and technical expert in assigned product categories and attend all applicable new product development activities.
- Collaborate with Legal team to determine a technically and legally valid support plan for product claims.
- Create numerous claims support standards for use across Unilever Home Care brands and train cross functional leaders on the use of said standards.
- Lead claims development meetings and document conversations, decisions, and actions with cross functional leaders.
Experience
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in Textile Product Development, Textile Wet Processing for local or MNC Textile Business.
- Experience of the New Product Development cycles and requirements from idea to launch.
- Experience in claims development & validation / working with legal department will be an advantage.
Eligibility
- Bachelors in Textile Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Applied Chemistry
- Core understanding of: Textile Product Development, Product Claims & their validation, Fabric Chemistry, Detergent Chemistry (will be an added advantage), Data Analytics & Strong Presentation Skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Point, Excel & other digital applications.

- Strong interpersonal skills especially delivering towards challenging timelines.
